Do you want to build your confidence and skills and get familiar with Stromlo trails?
Do you want to keep your momentum and need some motivation?
Do you want to be part of a friendly, supportive, female mtb community?
Do you want to get familiar with and learn to ride the trails at Stromlo?
Do you want to meet some other women to ride with?
Do you want to improve your fitness by riding regularly?
Come and join us!
Who this isn’t for:
-Beginners who have never done a skills clinic
-Riders who don’t want to progress any skills
-Riders who are already comfortable with the skills they have and aren’t looking to improve
-Riders who want a high intensity work out
-Strong intermediate or advanced riders who want to be challenged
The details:
This program runs from March 1st through to May 31st, a total of 13 weeks.
-Weekly skills focus sent to your email each Friday, with a video and PDF description to practise at home.
-6 × 85min guided Social+Skills ride on green trails and fire trails at Stromlo (and some blue trails for the low intermediate groups), with a focus on specific skills from previous weeks.
-These are ‘no drop’ rides, and we always wait for the slowest rider.
-If you can’t make all the dates listed for the rides, you can reschedule to one of our make-up sessions (minimum of 4 days notice is required to reschedule).
-After rides, participants are welcome and encouraged to stay and chat at the Handlebar Cafe, which operates on weekends and on Friday afternoons.
PREREQUISITE: Participants must have at least completed a foundational mtb skills course, either with Dirt Maidens or another provider OR have some solid mtb experience. Foundational mtb skills are assumed knowledge. If you are a beginner rider, and have completed the Foundational Skills Series, the Beginner group is a great place to start.
