Girls School Holiday Program
Do you want your girl/s to enjoy mountain biking like you do?
Do you want your girl/s to experience mountain biking in a fun, supportive, female-led environment?
Do you want your girls to build skills and confidence that will impact them both on AND off the bike?
One of the best ways to get girls riding more is to create an environment where other girls are riding, where they can socialise and progress with others their own age, in a safe and supportive environment and challenge themselves in their own time.
Building skills and confidence, while staying safe and having fun are key goals of this program. We will work on foundational skills including braking, body position, cornering, climbing and descending in this two day session.
We work on skills both in an open, controlled environment and then on a trail ride, with some sessioning of different parts of trail.
July 7th & 8th 2026 at Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra
Girls aged 12-14yrs (or in year 7-9) 9:30-12:30pm.
This program is for girls who have some experience on a mountain bike, but looking to build confidence, skills and make friends with other girls who ride. (Not suitable for complete beginners or those that can’t ride more than 5km- beginner riders are more suited to our Girls Day program).
Girls ages 8-12yrs 1:00-4:00pm
This program caters to girls who have had some experience mountain biking, through to riders who have strong foundational skills and working on more intermediate trails. Not suitable for complete beginners- these riders are better suited to our Girls Day program). **Girls must be on a 24 inch bike for this program as this allows them to roll faster and keep up with other girls on the program. Girls in this age bracket are usually on either 24, 26 or 27.5 inch bikes. Please get in touch if your child is still on a 20 inch bike and you think they are not ready for a bigger bike but a capable rider.
Max 1:6 ratio.
Sibling discount of 10% for the second child. Please email us info@dirtmaidens.com.au for a code to use at the checkout.
