Dirt Maidens Girls Day!
Does your girl ride better with friends or other girls for company?
Do you want your girl/s to develop more confidence and a love of riding?
Do you want your girl/s to meet some other girls that also ride?
Join us on Sunday 9th February to get some small mtb girls together, learn skills, and ride! There are so many girls riding at Stromlo, so let’s get them together! This is an opportunity for girls to meet and make friends with other girls that ride, as well as to learn new skills and apply them on the trail.
This morning is for girls aged 6-12yrs.
What to bring:
-Girls must bring their own bike in good working condition. Bikes must have two hand operated brakes (i.e. not a back-pedal brake)
-Australian approved helmet
-Gloves (full fingered gloves preferred- the first thing that hits the ground with crashes is usually hands!)
-Water bottle
-A healthy snack (for the 8-12yrs groups)
-Sunsmart clothing
-Sunscreen
Girls aged 6-7 years will have a 2hr session (9:00-11:00am) that includes skills development and games in an open area with no trail riding.
Girls aged 8-12 will have a 3hr session (8:00-11:00am), with a mix of skills development and games in an open area and a trail ride.
1:6 participant to coach ratio for trail environment, 1:8 participant to coach ratio for open area skills.
