$120.00
sold out

Join us in celebrating the 2025 Heritage Festival with a guided women’s mountain bike ride in Namadgi National Park, visiting several heritage huts and hearing women’s stories of the park.

This hilly 42km ride follows management trails through a remote area of the park, with some creek crossings, challenging hill climbs and beautiful scenery.
Riders will visit huts and hear stories of women who lived in Namadgi from an incredible team of ACT Parks and Conservation staff. We will explore the area, stopping for snacks and lunch, and create our own stories and memories of our experiences in the park.

Riders will need a good level of fitness and should expect creek crossings and some sections of steep terrain. Pedal assist electric mountain bikes are welcome.

This ride is perfect for riders who enjoy a physical challenge, who love exploring the outdoors with other women, those who love learning about the stories from the past, and for those who love being part of an inclusive and supportive community of female mountain bikers.

Fitness level required: moderate. Riders should expect riding time of approximately 4-5hrs (we will have lots of breaks).

Skill level required: basic mountain bike handling skills. If you have completed a foundational skills clinic or have more than 12months mtb experience, this will be adequate.

This is a guided ride, so basic mountain bike handling skills are a prerequisite and skills will not be taught on this ride.

All riders must have ambulance cover. Personal accident insurance is also highly recommended for any form of bike riding.
